We are a well established Members Club with our roots firmly in both the former British Railways Staff Association now the London Midland Railway Clubs Association and the local Community. We are managed by a Committee of Volunteers, elected by the membership. We employ professional staff to service our members and guests, and between us all we jointly ensure that we meet all the requirements which the Laws of the Land impose on venues like ours.
We remain a members Social Club with excellent facilities for hire including a well appointed
Function Room capable of holding up to 170 people, but it remains enjoyable with half that number
with its own well stocked Bar, Stage / Changing room, quality Dance Floor, Kitchen and Toilet
Facilities. It is suitable for Wedding Parties / Receptions, Anniversaries Birthdays, Fund Raising
Events. meetings etc, It is ideal for childrens parties, Christenings and other events traditionally held
during the afternoon.
We have a large surfaced Private Car Park and two very well maintained Crown Green Bowling
Greens which can be hired, when available for your Bowling Picnic or Club Competition etc
We offer a wide range of drinks available from our Bars. Including a selection of draught products,
all delivered to the glass by our modern, state of the art "Smart Dispence cellar system for both
Quality and consistancy. including Fosters and San Miguel Lagers, a choice of Ciders, John Smiths
and J W Lees Bitter, Theakstons Mild and Guinness. We stock a good range of Bottled Beer, Ciders
and alcopops, wines, spirits and shots plus Soft Drinks all at attractive prices.
Sunday nights are filled with our weekly Cabaret event featuring live backing with Steve on the
Organ & Keyboard and our Eric on Percussion supporting two cabaret spots, to satisfy everyone we
have a couple of games of Bingo and a weekly "Open the Box" draw. You are welcome to join us for
a small door fee or better still make yourself a member. Its so simple just pick an envelope up from
our Bar staff , fill it in, get a member to second you, pay your subs (currently £10 per person or £8 if
over the age of 65yrs) and submit your application. memberships run from the third Tuesday in
February for 1 year
You are then welcome to play Bingo every Monday and Friday, join one of our teams, sequence
dance on Wednesday night , Line dance on Thursday night attend club dinners and so much more.
